TMP equity slightly increased in value this month; up $2K. The housing market recovery is continuing, but slowly.

Here is the historical record since we started TMP in March of 2019!

Our three TMP and TMP2 houses were two down (red highlighting), one up (blue highlighting):

We finally got back to our Starlink setup at the cabin in Flowing Springs. If you remember, way back in May of 2021, we temporarily set up our Starlink system. We had planned to put the dish on the cabin roof, but it was too challenging. Our neighbor had good results in placing the dish on the ground in a north facing position. We will do the same, but on top of the shed which is about 12 feet high.

First, we trimmed the branches that were overhanging the roof. And for a secure mount, we added a 10 by 14 inch wooden mounting plate secured into the face of the peak:

Tyger did all the work:

The one change was that the mast mount diameter was slightly larger than the dish diameter. We fixed that with some lead solder inserts and two set screws:

Then we connected the power and cable and…

…. NOTHING

We sent a service request to Starlink and got an immediate answer. Our software was two years out of date and the ‘round’ antenna was the beta version. They are sending us a new rectangular antenna with updated modem and software for no cost.

“Thank you for providing that information. We have gone ahead and ordered a replacement kit (router. dish, and cable) to be sent to you. In addition we have issued a return label for your current kit, you do not have to return your dish back. You may keep or dispose of it according to local laws and regulations surrounding electronic waste.”

And they gave us a one-month credit for our trouble, $120.
